What's old is new again

The X-Pac, Kane and Road Dogg figures posing with the photo are replacements for the ones from my original collection.

Vintage Jakks BCA is a blog that was created to commemorate Jakks Pacific's WWF wrestling action figure line during the late 1990s. These 6" figures were known for their "bone crunching action" mechanism which elicited a snapping sound from the arms and legs when bent at the appropriate places.

It was Jakks' first attempt at wrestling figures and effectively paved the way for the Titan Tron Live, R-3, Ruthless Aggression, and Deluxe Aggression lines which followed. While not the most aesthetically pleasing, these toys were durable and fun to play with, and highly collectible for a brief period of time.

I grew up collecting WWF figures from the days of Hasbros (and Galoob for WCW) in the very early 90s, and nothing was quite the same after I bought my first Jakks figures in 1996. I ended up losing my original collection for various reasons, so I have been on a mission to rebuild it since I began selling items on eBay in the summer of 2007.

I've bought so many since then that are strictly for my personal collection, yet I'm always willing to bid on a deal when it comes to BCA figures. As a result, I started this blog to document some of my purchases, as well as to lend reviews on them.

However, I have broadened my horizons and wish to unveil as much about the BCA line as possible. I am always willing to learn and hope to have enough to offer readers that they will want to come back for more.

The BCA line may have ended some 10-11 years ago, but my goal is to keep the dream alive, one plastic wrestling toy at a time.
